Protect the Clean Power Plan

The Clean Power Plan helps the United States transition to clean renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, while reducing dangerous pollution. Tell the EPA to protect the Clean Power Plan.

Note: For maximum impact, use this sample language to compose your own message to the EPA.

  • As a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility, I strongly urge you to abandon the proposal to repeal the Clean Power Plan.
  • Repealing the Clean Power Plan will slow down our transition to clean renewable energy, which benefits both our economy and our health.
  • Repealing the Clean Power Plan will expose our communities to more dangerous pollution such as nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide and particulate matter from power plants. Abandoning the Clean Power Plan would also accelerate climate change.
  • The Clean Power Plan is projected to prevent 90,000 asthma attacks, 300,000 missed work and school days, and 3,600 premature deaths annually by 2030.
  • Repealing the Clean Power Plan means more sick kids, more expensive hospital visits, and thousands of premature deaths that could have been prevented.

The EPA may publish any comment received to its public docket including your name and location.
